An 18-year-old man is clinging to life after a shooting unfolded Sunday evening in the parking lot of a Rock Hill McDonald's. WBTV reports that the incident occurred around 6:30 p.m. at the fast-food restaurant located at 115 South Cherry Road.
Upon arriving at the scene, officers discovered the young man with a critical gunshot wound to his head, immediately after speaking to individuals in a parked car, said the Rock Hill Police Department. According to the same department, after being shot, he collapsed to the ground. The victim was promptly transported to a local hospital and is now receiving life-sustaining medical care.
In their search for the suspect, who is believed to have fled the scene, police are piecing together the events that led to this violent act. QC News states that authorities are yet to provide a description of the assailant or ascertain the motive behind the shooting.
