
Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department detectives are currently investigating a fatal shooting that took the life of a 19-year-old male at an apartment complex in the 3100 block of East Desert Inn Road, as reported by FOX5 Vegas. The young man was reportedly sitting on his porch when he was shot by an unidentified person around 4:30 p.m. yesterday.
After being shot, the victim sought refuge within his apartment where, he disclosed to his mother and sister the violent act that had befallen him. Metro officers arriving at the scene endeavored to provide assistance, facilitating the victim's transport to Sunrise Hospital; however, despite the efforts to save him, he succumbed to his injuries, as indicated by KTNV reports.
Witnesses have provided some details to the police, mentioning that the alleged shooter escaped the scene by hurdling over the southern wall of the apartment complex. Despite this clue, Metro has not made any arrests related to the incident, and they have appealed to the public for additional information that might lead to the capture of the suspect. Both outlets noted that while the attack did not seem random, the motive behind the tragic event remains unclear.
