According to details provided by Cincinnati.com, Amir Jordan was the victim of this incident. He had disembarked a bus and was attempting to cross the street when the police cruiser, responding to a call for shots fired, struck him. Jordan was not using a marked crosswalk to traverse across the thoroughfare.
The officer involved was driving a 2021 Ford Explorer with lights and sirens activated to respond quickly to the emergency scene, as noted in the report by the Cincinnati Police Department's Traffic Unit.
