A tragic incident occurred last Saturday evening in Battle Creek, claiming the life of a 24-year-old Emmett Township man in a motorcycle accident. According to FOX 17, the Battle Creek Police Department responded to the scene near West Michigan Avenue and Limit Street at approximately 9:45 p.m. following reports of a traffic crash.
The police found that the motorcyclist had been thrown off his bike after it veered off the road and over a curb. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene despite officers administering life-saving measures. WOOD TV reported that the name of the man has not been released as the crash remains under investigation.
Further to the tragic details, Battle Creek Enquirer noted that besides the Battle Creek Police Department, the Springfield Township Fire Department and LifeCare Ambulance assisted at the scene of the accident. Unfortunately, despite the effort to save the motorcyclist's life, he succumbed to his injuries.
