Wallace was originally reported missing after being last seen at a bus stop on 75th Street and 41st Avenue, waiting for Bus 61 on the evening of July 29. The Sacramento Police Department utilized social media to update the public on the search and eventual location of Ms. Wallace.
In the time of her disappearance, Wallace's description and last known location were widely circulated, encouraging community members to aid in the search. She was described as 5'8", 120 lbs, with gray balding hair, and black eyes. Her attire included a purple headwrap, a gold shirt, black and white polka dot pants, and purse. The Sacramento Police Department noted a possible sighting of Ms. Wallace after she may have deboarded the bus at Fruitridge Road and 53rd Street, according to Hoodline.
