The long-anticipated redevelopment of the old Caravan Motel property in Arlington has officially kicked off, with a ceremonial shovel hitting the ground on the southeast corner of Collins and Division streets. The transformative project, in collaboration with Valencia Hotel Group and Division Hotel Management, LLC, marks a significant milestone for the city, aiming to bridge the gap between Arlington's Downtown and Entertainment District. The reason this is so important is we will begin to cross-pollinate our Downtown and our Entertainment District and bring those two wonderful districts together in a way that’s never been done before," according to the City of Arlington.
Echoing the retro vibe of its predecessor, the Caravan Court Hotel redevelopment aspires to celebrate the historic Bankhead Highway. A total of 145 rooms, flaunting a mid-century aesthetic and a luxury retro-style 'motor court' concept, while the iconic Caravan Motor Hotel sign will see restoration and re-use.
