Atlanta is reeling from an audacious burglary that took place at a CVS Pharmacy on Cascade Road early Friday morning. According to FOX 5 Atlanta, a group of burglars employed a truck to forcefully smash through the front doors of the pharmacy around 4 a.m., leaving behind a scene scattered with bricks and shards of glass from the catastrophic entry.
Police reports indicate the burglars had the intent to quickly remove the ATM inside before making their escape. The truck that was used to cause such havoc was reported missing from the scene when the authorities arrived. While the front of the store was left in disarray, CVS has already resumed business, serving the needs of the community amidst the turmoil. "I go to it almost every day to get my medicine and stuff and there’s a lot of people I know there," Atlanta resident, Donna Bowles, told Atlanta News First, expressing concern and a sense of personal connection to the local business that stands as a testament to the fabric of the neighborhood.
