
In a disturbing account of violence shaking the streets of Aurora, a 17-year-old boy has been hospitalized with serious injuries following a shooting late Tuesday night, an incident that the Aurora Police Department is actively investigating. According to 9News, the young man was driving near South Peoria Street and East Louisiana Avenue when he noticed a motorcycle tailing him, one of its riders subsequently opening fire.
The teenager, whose identity remains protected, relayed to authorities that he was being followed by two individuals on the motorcycle, one of whom shot him leading to injuries that required urgent medical attention, as per KDVR, stating that the teen was admitted to a local hospital for the treatment of the serious injuries sustained from the incident.
Despite the severity of the situation, and as the community grapples with the reality of such violence, detectives are rigorously piecing together the circumstances of the shooting, there have so far been no arrests as of Wednesday morning with the investigation ongoing, as reported by Denver Gazette.
