According to a report from the National Weather Service, today Austin will witness partly sunny skies initially, then gradually becoming clear and hot, with peak heat index values expected to reach up to 105.

As the week progresses, Austin's temperature is to steadily rise, with a forecast of 99 degrees on Tuesday and a heat index going as high as 109, reported by the National Weather Service. This high pressure system, firmly in control, appears set to firmly maintain the hot and dry conditions, showing little change as the weekend approaches.
Meanwhile, KXAN has confirmed that the humidity will be unabating, with the heat index values likely to top out between 102° and 108° across most areas.
While there's a slight chance for a stray shower to grace some eastern counties of the city, rain remains a distant hope with chances pegged at less than 10% east of I-35. This meager possibility of precipitation does little to break the monotonic cadence of relentless sun and heat that has come to define Austin's current climatic rhythm.
