It was a low-key Sunday at Baltimore's Walther Gardens & Nursery, known for its flowers, where a different kind of event took center stage. Mayor Brandon Scott and his fiancée, Hana Pugh, opted for a subdued affair as they tied the marital knot. As WBALTV reports, "Mayor Brandon Scott and Hana [Pugh] were married this afternoon in a small private ceremony with a few dozen close family and friends."
Amid the garden's natural serenity, An intimate ceremony was performed by Circuit Court Judge Stewart Mays, welcoming the close-knit gathering. Bryan Doherty, a spokesperson for the Mayor's Office, shared in clothes fitting for a celebration the excitement, stating, "The Mayor’s Office is thrilled for the newly married couple, and we know the entire City of Baltimore will join us in wishing them congratulations as they celebrate with loved ones at the beginning of this joyous union," as detailed by CBS News.
And while forging their new family—having recently celebrated the birth of their child, Charm, last December—the Scotts find themselves in a dance with new beginnings and the promises of what may come, as Scott continues his mayoral journey and Pugh hers in community empowerment.
