Last night, Baltimore Police's Western District Action Team members made an arrest following a traffic violation that escalated into a chase. The incident unfolded in the 600 block of Cumberland Street at approximately 10:14 p.m. According to a post by Baltimore Police, detectives observed the driver of a vehicle in violation of traffic laws. When they attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver began to evade police.

The pursuit led to the subsequent capture of the individual, a 35-year-old male, whose actions attracted police attention and ended with the discovery of a firearm. Upon searching the vehicle, the detectives recovered a Taurus 9mm handgun, along with ammunition.
Following the apprehension, the suspect was issued a traffic citation. He was then transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility, facing processing for his actions.
