A multi-alarm fire tore through a two-family dwelling in Brighton last night, with firefighters arriving to find the blaze visibly raging at the rear of 7 Tip Top St. Despite the intensity of the fire, Boston Fire Department's efforts successfully knocked down the flames and shifted focus to overhauling the site. Boston Fire Department's X account reported the incident, confirming that all companies responded to the second alarm which was ordered shortly after their arrival.

During the firefighting operations, one firefighter sustained minor injuries and was subsequently transported for treatment. The exact circumstance of the injury has not been disclosed. Deputy Chief Green took the time to address the media, however, details about the cause of the fire were not immediately available as the Boston Fire Department Fire Investigation Unit (BFD-FIU) has just begun to thoroughly investigate to determine the cause. No residents were at home during the time of the fire, and there have been no reports of civilian injuries related to this incident. The property, a two-family dwelling, has sustained significant damage, the extent of which is still being assessed by authorities.
