In what marks a disturbing incident on Boston's MBTA Green Line trolley, a man performed an act of indecency in public view. According to a post on X from the MBTA Transit Police, on July 31st, at approximately 11AM, an adult male targeted a woman and engaged in a lewd act while exposing himself to her near Kenmore Station.
7/31 11AM Green Line Trolley in vicinity of #MBTA Kenmore Station a male targeted an adult female & staring at her exposed himself & committed a lewd act. 3PM a squad of plainclothes TPD officers located the SP, 31/yo, at Park St. positively Id'd him & placed him into custody.

The unsettling behavior put passengers on high alert and spurred the Transit Police into action. A squad of plainclothes TPD officers quickly responded to the incident. The perpetrator, a 31-year-old male, was located around 3PM at Park Street Station. Staying mostly hidden in their plain clothes, the officers were able to positively identify and subsequently apprehend the suspect without incident.
There has been no statement released by the MBTA regarding the incident or the measures being taken to prevent such occurrences in the future. The identity of the woman targeted in the incident has not been disclosed, preserving her privacy. Nevertheless, the arrest of the suspect, who is now in custody, offers some reassurance to the public that authorities are vigilant and ready to act on such offenses.
