Early morning on August 27, law enforcement engaged in a vehicle chase through the streets of Brooklyn Park, which spilled into Brooklyn Center, as revealed by the Brooklyn Park Police Department. The pursuit began when police officers attempted to pull over a vehicle around Zane Ave N and 610, occupied by an individual wanted on a yet-to-be-confirmed felony burglary warrant. According to the Brooklyn Park Police Department Alert, the suspect was possibly in violation of a protection order.
Officers had responded to reports that the suspect was near a residence in contravention of this order. Upon their attempt to initiate a traffic stop, the individual elected to flee in their vehicle instead. The chase ensued shortly after 4:41 A.M. and continued onto Brooklyn Blvd, leading officers on a pursuit that eventually expanded into the neighboring jurisdiction. The chase, however, was terminated when officers could not confirm an active violation of the protection order, as per the Brooklyn Park Police Department.
Further inquiries regarding the incident and the ongoing investigation have been put forward to local authorities.
