Carroll County Workforce Development (CCWD) is set to host a series of outreach events designed to assist residents with job search necessities. The initiative, which will see skilled career counselors offering their guidance, comes free of charge to all those in need of support, according to a Carroll County press release.
Support will be readily available at several Carroll County Public Library branches. The schedule kicks off at Taneytown Library on August 1st from 10 am to 2 pm. Events are also slated for Eldersburg Library on August 13th, followed by a repeat session at Taneytown Library on August 15th, and concluding with North Carroll Library on August 21st. Each of these will run from 10 am to 2 pm, ensuring ample time for residents to seek out the help they need.
These outreach events are part of CCWD's larger mission to facilitate employment and workforce development. Supported by a blend of federal, state, and local funding, the initiative for Program Year 2023 has a budget of $2,731,860.75, which accounts for 74.50% of the available funds, as per the county's announcement. CCWD operates Monday through Friday from 8 am to 4:30 pm and is a key player within America’s Job Center Network.
