Upcoming gatherings range from budget deliberations to street and drainage advisory boards, aiming to address the mundane yet crucial aspects that keep the community's infrastructure in check.
The first event on Charlotte County's official calendar is a Budget Meeting on Monday, August 19, at 1 p.m. at the Charlotte County Administration Center. Later that day, at 2 p.m., the Northwest Port Charlotte Street & Drainage MSBU Advisory Board will meet at the Centennial Park Recreation Center to discuss neighborhood drainage issues.
The midweek meetings continue with the Pirate Harbor Street and Drainage MSBU Advisory Board on Wednesday, August 21, at 10:30 a.m. at the Punta Gorda Charlotte Library, discussing street maintenance and drainage issues. Later, at 6 p.m., a public meeting at Centennial Park Recreation Center will focus on possible changes to Port Charlotte Beach Park, where residents can share their thoughts.
The week concludes with the Pirate Harbor Waterway MSBU Advisory Board meeting on Thursday, August 22, at 10:30 a.m. at the Punta Gorda Charlotte Library to discuss waterway management. On Friday, August 23, the Building Industry Oversight Committee will meet at 8 a.m. at the E. Jay Carlson Community Development Building to address construction and development issues.
