Charlotte's soccer aficionados will need to dig a little deeper into their wallets for the 2025 season. QC News reported that Charlotte F.C. is set to increase season ticket prices by about 6.1%, a move that the club claims aligns with the average hike across Major League Soccer.
While team loyalists might feel the pinch, the uptick isn't out of left field, as the resale market has observed annual bumps in the 3 to 7% range, "Just like any business, they’re looking to drive sales and increase price without impacting, what I would call number of visits," Angela Presnell, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Retail for Tickets for Less, imparted to QC News.
The Panthers, Charlotte's NFL team, are increasing prices for some of their seating options, but exact details aren't available yet. This reflects a broader trend of rising costs for live sports entertainment. FOX Sports Radio Charlotte has noted this increase and is speculating on whether fans will stick around despite the higher prices. Meanwhile, Charlotte FC is seeing strong attendance, with an average of 34,335 fans at their games.
A seat in the supporter’s section will be $36 heftier over the season. That's roughly $2 more per match, according to a statement made in WCNC.
