The Chicago Police Department is on the lookout for a suspect involved in a theft incident in the city’s public transit system. According to the CPD, the theft occurred earlier this week, when an elderly passenger was victimized by a purse-snatching episode. The event took place at approximately 2:00 a.m. on a CTA train.
Witnesses and surveillance footage suggest that the suspect, identified as a male/black approximately in his late twenties to mid-thirties, carried out a quick assessment of the platform before proceeding to abruptly snatch the purse from the unsuspecting elderly victim, as detailed by the Chicago Police Department. Detectives from the Mass Transit Division are now seeking to gain any possible assistance from the public to immediately locate and identify the individual responsible for this act.
