The National Weather Service forecasts a chance of showers and thunderstorms today, with temperatures dropping to around 69 degrees by late morning. Strong winds from the west shifting north-northeast, with speeds up to 30 mph, are also expected.

As for tonight, there's a possibility of sprinkles before 1 am, and the breeze is set to continue with an east-northeast wind of around 20 mph. However, a clearing is anticipated later in the evening. The rest of the week appears to be mostly sunny with highs hovering around 75 to 79 degrees, while at night, temperatures will dip to the mid-60s, as per the National Weather Service.
In terms of hazards, the National Weather Service alerts that there is a "Limited Thunderstorm Risk through mid-morning north of I-80," as well as a high swim risk at Lake Michigan beaches due to large wave generation by strong northeasterly winds. These hazardous conditions are expected to persist until at least mid-afternoon Wednesday, particularly affecting beach-goers and small watercraft.
