Officials in Hays County are searching for a suspect responsible for the shooting death of a child in Buda. According to FOX San Antonio, deputies, teaming up with Buda Police Department, responded to a call at approximately 5:20 p.m. Monday near the 800 block of Shadow Creek Blvd. Upon arrival, they discovered the grim scene — a juvenile male, life extinguished by a gunshot wound.

The ongoing investigation has yet to yield a suspect or a full picture of the events that led to this calamity. There is, however, a semblance of assurance from officials who believe the incident to be isolated, with no ongoing threat to the public.
