
Tragedy struck Tuesday evening in Chino Hills as a motorcyclist was fatally injured following a collision with a passenger vehicle. The accident occurred around 7:50 p.m. at the intersection of Soquel Canyon Parkway and Pomona Rincon Road, according to the Chino Hills Police Department.
37-year-old Chino Hills resident Joshua Jacobs, the motorcyclist, was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency personnel from the Chino Valley Fire Department. The investigation so far has revealed that Jacobs' Yamaha motorcycle broadsided a Honda Accord operated by a 40-year-old female from Diamond Bar, who sustained injuries and was subsequently transported to a nearby hospital to receive care, as detailed by the Chino Hills Police Department. The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) quickly responded to thoroughly investigate to possibly uncover what might have caused the fatal occurrence.
