As reported by The Houston Chronicle, the convenience store chain is set to slash up to 30 cents off each gallon of fuel in Texas, but only between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m., barring locations in West Texas and the Panhandle. This limited-time offer is not just a chance to save but also an opportunity to give back, as profits from Polar Pop purchases during these hours are pledged to support the Greater Houston Disaster Alliance's Hurricane Beryl Recovery Fund. "We know how important it is for our customers to save on fuel, especially during busy holiday weekends," Circle K’s vice president of operations for Texas, Gerardo Valencia, provided in a statement. "In addition, just by cooling down with a Polar Pop that day, our customers are also supporting the ongoing efforts to help the Houston area’s continuing recovery from Hurricane Beryl and helping fellow Texans in a time of need."
On a broader scale, USA Today reveals that the promotion widens to include Arizona and Nevada with an all-day affair today. Members of the Circle K Inner Circle Rewards can see a hefty 40 cents off per gallon reduction. However, joining the loyalty program, which typically guarantees 3 cents off per gallon daily among other perks, is a requisite to qualify for the deal. "When you get fill up on Aug. 29, enter the phone number associated with your Inner Circle account at the pump and you will get the discounted price for gas," instructs the promotion, starting at 12 a.m. and concluding at 11:59 p.m., with the caveat of a one-time use and a cap of 35 gallons per transaction.
Adding to the landscape of discounts, the specifics of the offer differ by region, with the special price rollback during 4-7 p.m. in the abovementioned states alongside Arizona and Nevada's all-day discount.
