Clearwater residents now have a chance to leave a lasting impact on community parks through "The Giving Wall" plaque program at Crest Lake Park. This initiative lets people honor loved ones, pets, or special places with personalized plaques, helping to improve local parks and recreation programs, according to the City of Clearwater

Art Kader, the Parks & Recreation Director, saw a demand for such dedication opportunities. "Residents consistently ask if they can donate a bench, name an amenity after someone, or buy a paver in honor of a passed loved one. This program is the answer to their requests," Kader explained. Sharing that the collected donations will ensure, the amenities and programs are fairly distributed across the community, as reported by the City of Clearwater website.

The Giving Wall features various donation levels, starting at $250 for the Bronze level and going up to $1,000 for the Onyx level. Interested parties can direct their contributions toward tangible park improvements such as benches and picnic tables, or towards supporting essential recreation programs.

Each contribution is recognized with a plaque, signifying the donors' generosity and the deep connections they have with the Crest Lake Park community. Striving to keep its spaces inclusive and well-maintained, the City of Clearwater provided donation specifics in their recent reveal, wherein the plaques can be personalized for honoring the specified residents, pets, or meaningful sites.
