Students from Elyria and the neighboring areas will have the chance to snag one of 1,000 backpacks, snacking options, and something to sip on as they brace for the new academic year, per the City of Elyria. The giveaway is set to unfold at the City’s West Recreation Center with local dignitaries in attendance.
Emphasizing community ties, Coca-Cola Consolidated is kicking in as a substantial local business ally and the nation's preeminent Coke bottler, drawing together young minds from across the area, showing up in an event that's as much about preparing for logarithms and literature as it is, finding solidarity in the shared suspense of a coming school year.
