The Columbus Police Department reported that in the early hours of Monday, two vehicles were involved in a head-on crash that led to the immediate death of Deandra Brigham, the driver of a 2010 Nissan Altima.
According to the same report, the driver of the other vehicle, a 2007 Dodge Charger operating without headlights and traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes, was pronounced dead shortly before dawn on the same day. Samuel Beyene, the driver, succumbed to his injuries just hours after the collision. Attempts made by emergency responders to swiftly save lives and mitigate the dire situation were not enough to drastically alter the course laid down by a moment's chaos.
