Tragedy struck on a section of East Dublin Granville Rd on Sunday early morning when an adult pedestrian became the victim of a hit-and-run incident involving a 2013-2014 white Scion xD, as informed by the Columbus Police Department. According to the report, at approximately 2:49 am, the vehicle was traveling east near Sawmill Place Blvd when it collided with the pedestrian and subsequently fled without offering aid or information.
The victim, whose identity has yet to be disclosed, was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel responding to the emergency. The incident took place west of Sawmill Place Blvd., and there have been calls for witnesses or anyone with relevant information to come forward to aid in the ongoing investigation by the Columbus Police Accident Investigation Unit.
While the search for the driver continues, law enforcement is urging the community to help track down the white Scion xD with potential front-end damage from the collision. The authorities have not yet released information on whether there was any video surveillance or eyewitnesses who could provide additional details on the perpetrator.
