The victim, found with a gunshot wound and seated in the driver's seat after the vehicle had crashed, was initially transported in critical condition and succumbed to injuries two days later, as reported by the Columbus Police Department.
Police responded to the scene on the evening last Wednesday following reports of gunshots and, subsequently, an accident. Upon arrival, officers were informed of the shots heard before locating the injured individual. Following initial treatment at a local hospital, the victim was pronounced deceased last Friday at 3:20 p.m., marking the case as a homicide investigation.
Homicide Team 5 has led the investigation, with Detectives Soviak and Close collaborating.
