
An armed robbery occurred early morning on August 20 at a BP gas station in Columbus, Ohio, where a suspect wielding a large hunting knife and a handgun demanded money and cigarettes from the staff; the Columbus Police have now issued a call for public assistance in their ongoing investigation, urging those who might have relevant information to come forward.
The suspect, described as a white male between 20 to 30 years of age, approximately 5'9", and weighing around 130-140lbs, carried out the robbery at around 3:00 am, engaging the gas station attendants with the force of cold steel and the threat of hot lead, he was clad in a black hoody with "Reebok" emblazoned on the front, black pants, and black shoes with white soles, his identity obscured by a black mask, according to a media release from the Columbus Police Department.
Authorities have detailed how after the alleged robbery, the individual fled northbound towards Fisher Road, having successfully pressured store clerks into surrendering an undisclosed sum of cash along with an armory of Marlboro Black Gold 100's cigarettes; the gas station, caught in the nocturnal grasp of criminal audacity, became a crime scene within moments.
