
Tragedy struck in Tarrytown last week when a vehicle collided with two pedestrians, resulting in the death of 65-year-old Allison Baker and leaving another with serious injuries, according to KXAN. The Austin Police Department was called to the intersection of Hillview Road and Greenlee Drive around 8:30 a.m. on August 8 following reports of the incident.
The response to the crash was a joint effort, including units from Austin-Travis County EMS and the Austin Fire Department, the latter, unfortunately, declared Baker dead at the scene, while emergency services transported the other injured party to Dell Seton Medical Center with serious injuries, as reported by KVUE. The driver involved in the incident remained at the location and cooperated with law enforcement, and it was reported that there was no immediate suspicion of impairment or injury concerning the driver.
