
An incident on Tuesday morning led to the death of a construction worker on Interstate 95 in Harford County when they were struck by a dump truck in a work zone. Maryland State Police reported that the collision occurred as the dump truck was reversing in the southbound lanes near Mountain Road in the Joppatowne area. The name of the deceased was not immediately released according to WBALTV.
Following the accident, one lane of the southbound I-95 was shut down, affecting the flow of traffic while authorities conducted their investigation.
WMAR2 News detailed that there were no other injuries reported. The Maryland State Police arrived at the scene following reports of the incident and commenced their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the tragedy.
