A major Portland freeway ramp was shut down after a deadly collision between a car and a pedestrian early yesterday morning. According to the Portland Police Bureau, the accident occurred on the ramp from Interstate 84 westbound to Interstate 205 southbound at around 5:07 a.m.
When police arrived, they found a deceased man, who is believed to have been walking on the ramp at the time of the incident. The driver involved in the crash, who remained on the scene, has been reported to have fully cooperated with the officials during the investigation. Due to the ongoing investigation by the Major Crash Team from the Portland Police Traffic Division, all traffic has been directed to continue westbound on I-84 or to head north on I-205 since arriving. The ramp is closed.
