Heads up, Duluth drivers—lane changes are on the horizon as you cruise along Highway 61/London Road. On Monday, August 26, the City of Duluth commenced with a traffic lane shift to make room for construction work by the new entrance to Kitchi Gammi Park/Brighton Beach. The area has promptly been marked as a No Parking zone, before and after the construction zone to ensure safety and manage traffic flow.
As the work forges ahead on the northbound shoulder, you might want to keenly adjust to some traffic slowdowns when approaching the park's entrance. According to the City's announcement, drivers should "be prepared to respond to abrupt traffic speed changes."
