
Early this morning, Capitol Hill in Seattle became the backdrop for a sequence of violence that left four people wounded by gunfire. According to FOX 13 Seattle, the incident began at 2:33 a.m. near Broadway and East Pike Street. One woman in her 20s was grazed by a bullet in the head, while a man of a similar age sustained an injury to his finger, suspected to be from a gunshot.
Responding officers provided medical aid to the victims until Seattle Fire Department personnel arrived, who continued treatment. The woman was subsequently transported to Harborview Medical Center and was reported to be in stable condition. As the event unfolded, a man in his 20s crashed his vehicle into the entrance of Swedish Hospital on First Hill, sporting two gunshot wounds. The vehicle he drove was riddled with bullet holes, prompting an investigation and temporary closure of the hospital's main entrance. Following these events, another man of similar age walked into Kaiser Permanente Hospital with a gunshot wound to his right leg, King5.com reported.
In the aftermath of the shootings, Seattle police have confirmed that there are no suspects in custody. According to King 5, officers diligently work, speaking to witnesses at each scene to piece together the night's events. The suspect or suspects involved and the vehicle they used have yet to be located, leaving many unanswered questions as the investigation progresses.
