An Elizabeth Township home was consumed by fire in the early hours of Sunday morning, reports indicate from various sources. According to WPXI, the fire started around 1:30 a.m. at a residence on Ross Street, where the basement was the initial site of the blaze that ultimately took the entire structure. A passerby reportedly noticed the flames and contacted emergency services.

Despite the intensity of the fire, WPXI confirms that no individuals were inside the property at the time the fire began. However, firefighters were met with the challenge of not just battling the fire but also saving the lives of three dogs that were inside the home, which, they successfully did.

Emergency officials later reported as per TribLIVE that no injuries occurred as a result of the incident.
