
Tragedy struck early this morning on Washington Boulevard in Laurel, where a fatal collision claimed the life of a motorcycle rider. Howard County police are actively piecing together the circumstances of the incident that occurred just beyond the darkened threshold of Lynn Buff Court, as reported by Howard County Police press release.
At approximately 4:10 a.m., the quiet of predawn was shattered as a 2021 Suzuki GSX-S750 motorcycle, northbound, collided with a truck making a left to embrace the opposite direction. The man at the motorcycle's helm, whose name has yet to grace the public record, was pronounced dead at the scene. According to a statement obtained by the Howard County Police Department's report, the occupants of the truck walked away unscathed, physically untouched by the fatal events.
The aftermath of the collision had Washington Boulevard closed for approximately 3 and a half hours, as investigators combed through the wreckage and silence.
