A home invasion in Fayette County turned violent Saturday night when the homeowner shot the intruder, who was later identified as David Luczak, 62, of Cleveland. The incident took place in Henry Clay Township, where Pennsylvania State Police were called to the scene around 11 p.m., as reported by WTAE.
Authorities, upon confrontation, Luczak refused to leave the property, leading the homeowner to fire multiple shots, striking the intruder in the face twice. After the shooting, Luczak was flown to West Virginia Hospital and was reported to be in stable condition.
The ongoing investigation is a collaboration between the Pennsylvania State Police and the Fayette County District Attorney's Office. According to CBS Pittsburgh, Luczak will face charges of burglary due to his actions leading up to the altercation.
