A fatal fire in Fayette County claimed the lives of two individuals early Sunday morning, emergency services were dispatched to the severity of the situation at a residence located at Hardy Hill Road in Dunbar Township. A blaze, which broke out around 3 a.m., led the Fayette County coroner to confirm the deaths of Lori Cossell, 53, and David Brooks Sr., 72, both residents of Dunbar, as reported by WTAE.
Fayette County Coroner Dr. Bob Baker, who was present at the scene, believes the deceased to be Cossell and Brooks. Despite the tragic outcomes for these residents, a dog was fortunately rescued from the fire-ravaged property, no one else was reported as being taken to a hospital, as detailed by WPXI.
