Several dining establishments are gearing up to welcome diners at the site of the former Paradise Valley Mall, now transforming into a vibrant mixed-use complex known as PV. Among the first to open its doors will be Flower Child, a healthy fast-casual eatery by Fox Restaurant Concepts (FRC), with its grand opening slated for September 24.
Anticipated to bring a fresh dining experience, this upcoming Flower Child venue marks the first restaurant in a project encompassing retail, fitness, and living spaces over 100 acres. "We are excited to open our next Flower Child in the Valley as part of the redevelopment of the iconic former Paradise Valley Mall," stated FRC founder Sam Fox, as reported by ABC15. He added, "This neighborhood has been underserved for quite some time and we're proud to be a part of bringing life back to the area while growing the brand's footprint here at home."
With the Phoenix City Council slated to review liquor license applications for several eateries in the PV project, including Flower Child, attention is high. Beyond the refreshing culinary options, PV’s renewal is introducing an innovative fusion of lifestyle facilities. Commencing with the 34th nationwide Flower Child restaurant, the project echoes growing optimism in the neighboring communities. It carries the expansion vision, aiming to open another Flower Child later this year at Novus Place in Tempe, as reported by the Business Journals.
RED Development is at the helm of this ambitious project, bolstered by collaboration with Macerich Co. and StreetLights Residential, who are bringing new dimensions to the former retail space near Cactus Road and Tatum Blvd. According to the Business Journals, this transformation will introduce Fender Musical Instruments Corp. with a three-story office building, set to be an anchor of the development come fall of 2025. Rising to complement the commercial aspect, Life Time's pioneering concept – an architectural blend of a fitness club and luxury residential spaces – is scheduled to unfold with the opening of Life Time Living, an 11-story residential tower offering 300 units in 2026.
Meanwhile, the city awaits the impending openings of further culinary ventures such as Blanco Cocina + Cantina, Federal Pizza, TEN Sushi, and Wren House Brewing, all expected to commence operations by the end of the year. These new establishments promise to inject a dynamic pulse into the local dining and retail scene, marking a significant milestone in the area's redevelopment narrative.
