In a troubling turn of events in southeast Houston, four young individuals, ranging in age from 10 to 16, were wounded in a shooting incident yesterday. Houston police were summoned to a residence in the 2200 block of Collier, where they found the four victims suffering from gunshot wounds, as reported by FOX 26 Houston

During a briefing with law enforcement, Assistant Chief Megan Howard of the Houston Police Department elaborated on the circumstances surrounding the violent event, in which it was disclosed that three suspects approached the home, attempted to gain entry, and upon the front door being opened, opened fire inside the abode and while three of the victims suffered wounds to their extremities, a fourth was struck in the abdomen, the officials detailed the suspects as possibly being teenagers themselves and they had taken flight after the attack.

Rescuers transported all four injured parties to the hospital for urgent medical attention, with their condition at this time remaining unknown. The assailants, who remain at large, were described as masked; however, specifics about their possible escape vehicle were not provided by the authorities.

According to KHOU, the police firmly believe this act was not random but a deliberate strike against the individuals in the house, as they continue to urge any individual with information about the incident to come forward and contact the Houston Police Department at 713-884-3131 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-8477.
