The Franklin Police Department (FPD) is currently on the hunt for individuals who took to the Carothers Parkway bridge, near Ryecroft Lane, defacing this infrastructure with a certain disregard for community and property; sometime during the veil of night, on Wednesday, August 7, these vandals dislodged approximately 100 parapet caps and discarded them into the Harpeth River and surrounding areas, according to the Franklin Police Department.
Such an act has marred the bridge and left the city with a hefty bill, with damages climbing into the thousands of dollars. At the same time, the Franklin police force turns to the community’s collective eye, seeking leads, and clues to piece together this senseless puzzle to restore order, and justice to the silent, wounded Carothers bridge.
