In a recent disclosure by the Glendale Police Department, multiple arrests have been linked to an organized theft ring involving a group of teenagers. As reported by FOX 10 Phoenix, the police held a news conference detailing that the accused group, ranging from 14 to 16 years old, committed multiple thefts and burglaries between June and August this year.

According to statements made by Officer Moroni Mendez, the Glendale Police have connected the suspects to approximately 46 cases that span both Glendale and Phoenix. An unsettling tactic disclosed during the news conference was the suspects' use of stolen garage door openers to access residences, targeting homes while inhabitants were asleep. "One of the individuals did say he was armed each and every time," Jose Santiago of the Glendale Police mentioned to FOX 10 Phoenix, highlighting the brazen nature of these acts.

A string of 40+ burglaries across the Phoenix area has been attributed to this group, with the teens allegedly using stolen vehicles—an aspect corroborated by recovered items like a silver BMW—to carry out their crimes. According to a report by AZFamily, they not only entered garages but also infiltrated homes, leaving families vulnerable and oblivious as they slept.

These revelations emerged from a combination of surveillance footage and interrogation videos, some of which were provided to AZFamily by the Glendale Police. "What kind of things are you doing for money?" a detective inquired during an interrogation, leading to a suspect's candid admission of "Um, breaking into houses."

Among the felony and misdemeanor charges the suspects are facing are residential burglary, theft, and possession of narcotic drugs. Officer Mendez has also issued advice to homeowners, urging them to secure their vehicles, remove garage door openers from their cars, and to employ added security measures. He suggests the use of "lockout" features on garage doors and advocates for the installation of video surveillance systems.

The police hope that by sharing details of this investigation, more victims may come forward and aid in furthering the case. The identification of additional incidents could provide a clearer scope of the theft ring's extensive activities throughout the Valley.
