Authorities in Harris County have put a stop to a vehicle theft incident with the arrest of one Matthew Miller, as reported by the office of Constable Mark Herman. On the first day of August this year, deputies arrived on the scene at the 13100 block of Kuykendahl Road, responding to what was initially reported as a disturbance, an event that led to the uncovering of larger crimes.

During the investigation, deputies discerned that Miller had plans to break into a nearby storage facility with the intent of removing his own vehicle but it turns out the vehicle he drove to the location had a different story—it had been reported stolen, complicating matters for Miller and providing the authorities with a clearer picture of his activities. A statement on the precinct's official Facebook page detailed the series of events leading to his arrest and subsequent charges.

"Matthew Miller was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle," the statement from Constable Herman’s office confirms what became of the suspect following the reveal of the stolen vehicle. Presently, Miller is held as he awaits the possibility of bond, which will be determined out of the 248th District Court, his fate sitting in the balance of a legal system now tasked with adjudicating the ramifications of his alleged decisions.
