Authorities in Harris County have snagged a pair of suspects in connection with a stolen vehicle after a routine traffic stop spiraled into an arrest scenario. Deputies with Constable Mark Herman’s Office pulled over a vehicle on the afternoon of August 1 in the 1500 block of Gears Road, which quickly escalated from mere traffic enforcement to criminal apprehension. The individuals operating the vehicle were identified as Nickalos Kosick and William Elifrits, a discovery leading to a deeper probe by the officers on scene.
Diligent investigation by the deputies revealed that the vehicle the suspects were in was reported stolen, placing Kosick and Elifrits in a tenuous position, legally. It didn't take long for the situation to unravel further, with Elifrits being discovered to have an open Misdemeanor Warrant against him. "Both suspects were arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail. Nickalos Kosick was charged with Unauthorized Use of for a Motor Vehicle. His bond was set at $5,000.00 out of the 262nd District Court. William Elifrits was arrested for the open warrant. His bond and court information has not been set at this time," said Constable Mark Herman in a statement on Facebook.

However, details about the stolen vehicle, its owner, and the circumstances under which it was taken remain sparse at this point, the constable's office assured the public that due process would follow the arrests.
