On a routine traffic stop yesterday, deputies with Constable Mark Herman's Office may have gotten more than they expected. A vehicle pulled over in the 17800 block of White Mountain Drive, became the scene of multiple arrests. The driver, identified as David Charcas, seemed to have run afoul of the law on several counts. Signs of intoxication were evident, prompting the officials to conduct Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, according to a post by Constable Mark Herman's Office.

Reportedly, the tests confirmed the suspicion of intoxication. While searching the vehicle, deputies discovered a controlled substance, identified as cocaine, and a firearm. The object of these discoveries, Charcas, was consequently placed under arrest. In detailing the charges, Constable Herman stated, "David Charcas was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail charge with Driving While Intoxicated, Unlawful Carry of Weapon and Possession of Controlled Substance. His total bond was set at $1,200.00 out of the 339th District Court and County Court 2."
