Yesterday, the Houston Police began an examination into a shooting that claimed a man's life at a residence on 2313 Kirk Street, as reported around 1:55 p.m., according to the City of Houston's official news outlet. The name of the deceased is currently withheld, pending formal identification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
Officers from the HPD patrol were the first to arrive at the scene responding to reports of the incident they discovered the victim inside the home, suffering from numerous gunshot wounds, based on a statement from the City of Houston. Emergency medical teams hurried him to the hospital, yet despite their efforts, he was ultimately pronounced dead.
Details gleaned from witnesses suggest a grim scene where two individuals, described as black males aged between 17 and 22, entered the dwelling, appropriated two firearms, and subsequently opened fire on the victim before absconding.
