Houston authorities are currently piecing together the circumstances of a grim discovery made inside an apartment at 6363 West Airport Boulevard. According to an official statement released by the Houston Police Department, a 21-year-old woman was found deceased yesterday evening with multiple gunshot wounds. Her name is yet to be released, pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
Officers who responded to what initially was a call about a person down stumbled upon a crime scene that has since provoked more questions than answers. Reports indicate the apartment complex staff had received an anonymous tip about a body, which led them to alert authorities. HPD Homicide Division Detectives M. Providence and A. Herrera are leading the homicide investigation, as the woman was pronounced dead at the site by paramedics.
