
Houston law enforcement officials are currently probing the circumstances surrounding a deadly shooting that transpired last Saturday night at 7300 Guadalcanal Road. According to a public statement from the Houston Police Department, the incident occurred around 11:15 p.m. and the victim, a male believed to be between the ages of 25 to 35, was discovered unresponsive with multiple gunshot wounds.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant K. Persad and Detectives A. Ledford, E. Camacho, and L. Gonzales have been assigned to the case. Upon arrival at the scene, HPD patrol officers encountered the male victim lying in the street. The Houston Fire Department paramedics were promptly called and transported the injured man to Ben Taub General Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Presently, the motive for the shooting remains unclear, and no suspects have been named. The identity of the victim is still awaiting confirmation from the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. The investigation is ongoing as detectives are gathering evidence and attempting to piece together the events that led to this tragic outcome.
