Houston authorities are on a manhunt for a suspect linked to the fatal shooting of a young woman in an apartment on West Airport Boulevard. The surveillance photo of the male suspect has been released by the Houston Police Department (HPD) and is now reaching out in hopes of getting information.
An unidentified woman, only 21 years old, fell victim to multiple gunshot wounds, as reported by the HPD's Homicide Division. According to a news release from City of Houston News, the incident happened inside an apartment, where the victim was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. The case is ongoing, and the victim's identity is still being verified by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
The grim discovery was the result of an anonymous call received by apartment complex staff, who in turn contacted the authorities. This detail emerged as Detectives M. Providence and A. Herrera from HPD's Homicide Division surveyed the scene following a 'person down' call that prompted their response, as per the same news release.
