The incident occurred at 9051 Triola Lane, and officials responded to the scene around 6:50 a.m., after being alerted by a meet-the-firefighter call. A passerby discovered the man's unresponsive body in a park at the aforementioned address, according to a report from the City of Houston.
The Houston Police Department's Homicide Division, with Detectives W. Huff and J. Nguyen leading the investigation, have not yet released the identity of the victim, a 30-year-old man, as they wait for official verification from the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. It is currently believed that the individual may have suffered from either a stab or a gunshot wound. Officers arrived at the scene to find quickly that the man had been pronounced deceased by paramedics.
