
Houston authorities are seeking the public's help in capturing a suspect involved in the fatal shooting of Claudio Diaz, 34, that took place on the night of July 9. According to a release from the Houston Police Department (HPD), the incident occurred at approximately 11:10 p.m. at 10000 Club Creek Drive. The suspect's composite sketch, a crucial piece of evidence in this ongoing investigation, has now been issued to the public in hope to quickly apprehend the individual responsible for the tragic event.
The fatal encounter unfolded when HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call and discovered Diaz with multiple gunshot wounds. Efforts to save his life were unsuccessful, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. Through witness accounts, it became clear that Diaz was engaged in a physical altercation with two unidentified suspects. It was during this confrontation that one suspect opted to tragically extend a firearm and shoot Diaz. Witnesses saw the suspects fleeing on foot posthaste following the shooting.
Detectives C. Davidson and A. Finlay from the HPD Homicide Division have been assigned to the case and are vigorously seeking leads. They are keen to speak with anyone who may possess knowledge about the suspects' identities or whereabouts. In their effort to encourage public assistance, investigators have circulated acomposite sketch of one of the suspects linked to Diaz's death.
